Three Riviera Nayarit hotels in Forbes’ 2020 Star Award Winners
- This exclusive list of hotels and spas now includes the Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita and The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort as Five Star resorts, as well as the Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit with Four Stars.
The prestigious Forbes Travel Guide shared their 2020 Star Award Winners with which they recognized the most luxurious hotels and spas in the world; this exclusive list of winners includes three Riviera Nayarit hotels: Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita and The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort.
Likewise, they gave The St. Regis’ Remède Spa Punta Mita and the SE Spa at Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit their 2020 World’s Most Luxurious Spas award.
These hotels are classified based on their superior service and facilities, and adherence to specific standards of comfort and luxury. The Four Seasons and The St. Regis were awarded Five Stars, while the Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit received Four Stars.
Forbes Travel Guide is the only independent global classification system for hotels, restaurants, and luxury spas. Its highly trained inspectors visit each one of the properties to evaluate them based on up to 900 standards.
According to Forbes, ratings cannot be purchased; all ratings are obtained through an objective inspection process. Results are calculated using 75 percent of a hotel’s rating based on its service and 25 percent on the quality of its facilities.
High standards
The standards used to determine the list include such considerations as distinctive hotel surroundings that convey a sense of place, including exceptional attention to interior design and landscaping. Thoughtful details throughout the guests’ experience, such as fresh flowers in the room and a remarkable gift at turndown are also important. The rooms need to be more than just comfortable, with superior bedding and pillows, and high-quality slippers and towels, among other amenities.
“The fact the Riviera Nayarit’s hotels and spas are on the Forbes travel list fills us with satisfaction, as this is the result of the work we do every day to position the Riviera Nayarit among the world’s top destinations,” said Marc Murphy, managing director of the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB).
