Five beautiful clean beaches in the Riviera Nayarit

The Riviera Nayarit’s beaches are just one of the many attractions we can boast about.

The beaches in the Riviera Nayarit are beautiful and clean with the perfect water temp for swimming, snorkeling, and enjoying any of the many water sports on tap in Bucerías, Sayulita, Punta de Mita or any of our 23 micro-destinations. Want to know a little more? Keep reading!

Playa Chacala

This beach is calm with vibrant blue water and a clean beach certification. Located in the central coast area of the Riviera Nayarit, life here is very calm and cozy. Savor a local pescado zarandeado (grilled fish), shop the handicrafts stores, and go on a birdwatching tour to view the amazing variety of species that live here.

Punta de Mita

Located just 30 minutes from the Vallarta-Riviera Nayarit airport, the Punta de Mita beaches are more than idyllic—they’re out of this world. The white sand and infinite blue will take you to another dimension. We can’t imagine a more impressive landscape, besides, there’s a golf course here right in the middle of the ocean that’s known around the world as the “tail of the whale.”

Destiladeras

Welcome to five kilometers of beach tailor-made for a family outing, fun with friends or solo travel. The beach also offers visitors a unique shade of blue, crystal-clear water that shifts with the tide. One end of the beach is nice and calm; at the other end you can surf, paddle or ride a banana.

Bucerías

Bucerías’ “clean beach” certification has made it a favorite for locals and tourists alike. Come here for a laid-back ambiance, changing tide, fresh local food, a stretch of sand for sunbathing, kitesurf enthusiasts, and plenty of watersports.

Nuevo Vallarta

This micro-destination has an important hotel infrastructure and a wide beach with a perfect climate, incredible sunsets, and, of course, a certification. There are also several beach clubs in the area so you can mix beach days with pool days.

Don’t forget to visit La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Los Muertos in Sayulita, San Pancho, San Blas, and the many other beautiful beaches (the list is really long) that are part of the Riviera Nayarit. Remember to use the #rivieranayarit hashtag—we want to see you having fun in paradise!
