Restaurant Week is back in the Riviera Nayarit
- Preparations are underway for the 16th edition of this gastronomic festival. Organizers are reaching out to regional restaurants to join this magnificent celebration.
Restaurant Week is back for 2020 with its 16th edition ready to celebrate the region’s gastronomy during an event where residents and visitors can enjoy a variety of great food at very good prices.
Restaurants in the Riviera Nayarit and Puerto Vallarta are being invited to participate in the event, which is organized by the Vallarta Lifestyles Media Group with the backing of the Riviera Nayarit Conventions and Visitors Bureau (CVB), as well as diverse authorities from Puerto Vallarta.
“Restaurant Week is stronger and better than ever. The success of this culinary event has come about thanks to the support of a growing number of participating restaurants. Every year they surprise and seduce the palates of the attendees who bring this festival to life; this is an event that has been held without interruption for 16 straight years,” said Luis Mendoza, operations director for Vallarta Lifestyles Media Group.
The event is promoted nationally and internationally by the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau every year; it also receives support from different authorities in Puerto Vallarta. This year, it will also be sponsored by Cristalería del Pacífico, a company from Puerto Vallarta with over 30 years’ experience and is one of the best distributors of equipment for internationally-renowned restaurants and hotel chains.
About Restaurant Week
Restaurant Week—taking place yearly from May 15th through June 10th—offers attendees from the Riviera Nayarit and Puerto Vallarta the opportunity to enjoy innovative three-course menus (with three options each) at reduced prices in some of the most prestigious restaurants in the destination.
This year’s 16th edition will present three menu categories: $289, $399 and $466 MXN per person. The price does not include beverages or tips.

Among the restaurants already participating are: Arrecifes, Azafrán, Blake’s Restaurant & Bar, Gaviotas, Hacienda San Ángel Gourmet, La Leche, Nicksan, Pezlimon, Poblanos Cocina Mexicana, Restaurant Hidalgo, Siam Cocina Thai, Sonora House, The Iguana, Tintoque, Trattoria Di Nuovo, and Umai.
A complete list of participating restaurants with their respective menus will be available on the event website starting in May.

Restaurant Week was inspired by other culinary festivals from around the world; the first one was held in 2005. Since then, it has become a favorite with visitors and local lovers of fine food.
