The AHMBB is comprised of representatives from all the hotel segments based in Banderas Bay, with 48 associated hotels from Nuevo Vallarta/Flamingos, Bucerías, la Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Punta de Mita/Punta Mita, Sayulita, San Pancho, and Lo de Marcos.

Promotion, lots of promotion

Jesús Carmona presented his 2019 results report during the session, highlighting that the continuity of the Board of Directors and the support of the three levels of Government have been key contributors to the Riviera Nayarit being today one of Mexico’s most important tourist destinations on an international scale.

“This is my third year at the helm of the AHMBB and I am really very proud, not only of myself but of the entire board of directors, with whom we have worked with and learned a lot from, as well as with the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau and its team,” said Carmona.

The president of the hoteliers said that in the coming months there will be a lot of work to do as well as new challenges to be faced by the unified sectors and the good relationship built with the state and municipal governments.

“My focus is to continue working hand-in-hand with the authorities on issues such as ensuring a safe destination; urban image and, above all, our resources; the tourism trust… Because you can have a safe destination with a beautiful image, but if you don’t have tourists, and vice versa, you can spend all your money on promotion, but if you don’t have a safe destination with a beautiful image, you won’t achieve a thing,” he added.

Marc Murphy, managing director of the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB), also presented his Activities Report during the assembly. Murphy recognized the work done by all the members of the Board of Directors who have done everything “from the heart.” Thanks to their work, he added, we have seen great results.
