Riviera Nayarit showcased its luxury offer at the Classic Vacations tradeshows
- Over 400 travel agents received updates on the destination’s tourist offer during events held by the wholesaler in three important areas in California: San Diego, Orange County, and Beverly Hills.
The Riviera Nayarit’s 2020 promo season got off to a strong start with its participation in luxury wholesaler Classic Vacations’ tradeshows. The events helped updated over 400 travel agents with the latest info on the destination’s tourism offer.
The Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) participated together with its strategic partner, the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust (Fidetur), in events held in San Diego, Orange County, and Beverly Hills. The teams presented what’s new—hotel offer included—to 90, 150, and 180 travel agents, respectively.
The agents were very interested in the tourism offer from both destinations and their questions revolved mainly around safety, connectivity, and attractions. The participation of the associated hotels was key, as there is a strong commitment between the destinations, the hotel chains, and their business partners to boost sales. Hotels present at the tradeshows included Marival Resorts, Grand Palladium, Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit, and The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort.
California has excellent air connectivity with Puerto Vallarta-Riviera Nayarit. There are currently direct flights from Los Angeles via American Airlines, Alaska, Southwest, Delta, and Interjet; and there is a direct flight from San Diego via Alaska Airlines.
California is also the state of origin that sends the most tourists to this region as a result of the constant presence of the Riviera Nayarit CVB in different promotional events, during which they provide travel agents with effective sales tools.
“These actions by the AHMBB and the CVB in such important U.S. markets will no doubt have a big impact on the upcoming seasons, meaning an increase in tourists that will equal higher occupancy rates and a stronger economic spillover in general,” said Jesús Carmona Jiménez, president of both entities.
THE FACTS
Next week, the Riviera Nayarit will participate in the Classic Vacations tradeshows held in Sacramento and San Francisco in Northern California, where they expect 90 and 125 travel agents, respectively.
