XIV International San Pancho Arts Collective Festival
- This event promotes art, culture, environmental conservation, and sports in the Cultural Capital of the Riviera Nayarit; the general program includes a Cultural Week and a Performing Arts Festival.
SanFrancisco, “The Cultural Capital of the Riviera Nayarit”, will host the XIV International San Pancho Festival of the Arts and Culture from December 16-22. This free event promotes art, culture, environmental conservation, sports, and „family unity, while placing San Pancho in the spotlight as a quality tourist destination.
The program is varied and embraces different displays of the arts. It is divided into two stages: A Cultural Week, held from December 16-20, 2019; and the Performing Arts Festival from December 21-22, 2019. The organizers—members of the San Pancho Collective—shared that this year they want to remember and honor the path of all the people who saw in San Pancho the opportunity to create a different society.
“Music, dance, painting, sculpture, and other artistic disciplines will become a tool and an reason to generate community and understanding,” said Renata Montante, a representative from the organizing committee. Of note is the fact that both the organizers and the support team are volunteers, covering festival expenses by hosting cultural events throughout the year and collecting private donations. They also count on the support of government institutions and local civil associations.
