8 events to enjoy this fall in the Riviera Nayarit

  • The year is almost over, but the fun doesn’t stop in the Riviera Nayarit! This month the destination welcomes visitors with a variety of events including cultural, culinary, and sports activities, plus Mexican traditions.

Travelers who pick our destination for a getaway this fall will find accommodations ranging from luxury properties and all-inclusive resorts for families to intimate boutique hotels.

Pick the Riviera Nayarit for your next vacation! Here’s a list of the most relevant events this November:

Day of the Dead Festival in Sayulita and Bucerías (Nov. 1 and 2)

The celebration of the Day of the Dead in the Riviera Nayarit is gaining ground, attracting not just locals but also the ex-pat community. The colorful festivals include cultural and artistic activities, as well as the traditional ones such as the altars to the dead, the catrina (skeleton) parades, and the visits to the cemetery. We recommend two places that stand out for their picturesque celebrations and traditions: The Magic Town of Sayulita and Bucerías, each one with its own particular program that is on par with the many other festivals celebrated around Mexico for decades.

15th Punta Raza Shore Fishing Tournament (Nov. 2 and 3)

Fishing aficionados are set to gather at the Punta Raza Beach Club, the “window to the sea” at El Monteón, for this family-friendly tournament that welcomes local professionals and amateurs. One of the special features of the tournament is that once it concludes the participant who caught the biggest fish in each category receives a symbolic recognition.
