The Riviera Nayarit pursues meetings tourism

  • The CVB participated successfully in the Smart Meetings Midwest event in Chicago, Illinois, which gathered together specialized meeting planners from the Midwest region of the United States.

The Riviera Nayarit was present at Smart Meetings Midwest, an event focused on the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) segment, held in Chicago, Illinois, with the participation of buyers, hotels, and destinations.

The committee, led by representatives from the Sales and Marketing area of the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB), held 17 one-on-one appointments with specialized meeting planners based in the Midwest region of the United States. Some of these planners are independent and have diverse clients; others represent companies from different sectors including steel, finance, pharmaceuticals, and civil associations.

They all received first-hand information relating to the Riviera Nayarit, its premium services, and the infrastructure it offers for meetings and incentives. Some planners already have programs in mind for the upcoming winter season.

Representatives from the Sales and Marketing area of the Riviera Nayarit CVB,

held 17 one-on-one appointments with specialized meeting planners.
