  • The First Vidanta Couples’ Golf Tournament 2019 takes place on Saturday, October 19; the Nayar and Greg Norman courses in the Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta Development are the perfect stage for this competition.

Grupo Vidanta announces the First Couples’ Golf Tournament 2019 on Saturday, October 19 at 9 a.m. in the Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta development located in Riviera Nayarit.

According to Jesús Torres Segura, Vidanta Golf director, all the games will take place on the Nayar and Greg Norman courses, designed by two golf legends.

“At Vidanta we pay careful attention to every detail so we can create unique experiences. The beautiful and challenging courses are designed by professionals and experts in the field, offering players an extraordinary way to play in paradise,” he added.

The tournament is open to everyone over 18 years of age; cost per participant is $1,600 MXN and includes the registration fee for the tournament, awards lunch, and drinks during the ceremony. There is also special pricing on accommodations for the participants.

You must register your handicap, to be confirmed by each player’s Club or by the Mexican Golf Federation (FMG), current for September 2019.

Trophies will be awarded to the first, second, and third place winners in each category; there will be significant prizes for the winners of the Oh’Yes as well as the Hole-in-One.

According to Jesús Carmona, President of the Bahía de Banderas Hotel and Motel Association (AHMBB) and the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB), the past few years the Riviera Nayarit has become one of Mexico’s top golfing destinations, growing its fame among participants of the sport by offering the best courses and tournaments.

“We continue to strive to offer our visitors the very best options,” he added. “This is why we host events like this First Vidanta Couples’ Tournament 2019, which also helps to promote this incredible destination on the international stage.”

Low-Ball format for couples in three categories:

  • Woman / Man | Handicap 80%
  • Man / Man “A” | Handicap 80%
  • Man / Man “B” | Handicap 80%

Prizes

  • Hole in One: golf cart and Ranger Crew 1000
  • Oh’Yes: Sunglasses, Golf bags, green fees, and many other prizes
  • Trophy to the first three couples in each category

Admission

  • 18 years or older
  • Registration of handicap to be confirmed by each player’s Club or by the Mexican Golf Federation (FMG), current for September 2019.
