Riviera Nayarit at IMEX America 2018

  • Top exhibitors promoted their destinations, products, and services in Las Vegas, Nevada, from October 16-18 at the largest fair on the continent dedicated to the MICE industry.

The Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) had a very distinguished showing at the IMEX America 2018, the largest fair on the continent dedicated to the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events) segment, which took place October 16-18, 2018, at the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas.

The latest world trends in the segment were discussed during the course of the event, although the previous day (Monday, October 15) they held the traditional Smart Monday, an entire day of free education and networking.

The event is important for the destination as 4,000 qualified buyers from every sector of the industry gathered at IMEX America to plan and book everything from high-end incentives to large conventions.

This year, the Riviera Nayarit team—which was present at the Mexico Tourism Board’s (MTB) Mexico Pavilion—held approximately 20 one-on-one meetings with planners from the US, Canada, and Latin America. The marketers also met with meeting planners and decision makers with global purchasing power, which will no doubt contribute to the positioning of the region in this market with high purchasing power.

Of note was the participation of hotels and DMCs interested in the sector: W Punta Mita, Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit, Iberostar Playa Mita, Dreams Villamagna, Grupo Vidanta, Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita, St Regis Punta Mita Resort, Hard Rock Vallarta, IVI DMC, Tropical Incentives, Maritur, and North American Travel, among others.

The Facts:
