Know this:
National Parks Day is celebrated around the world every August 24th to educate the public about the importance of conservation and the protection of the existing species of flora and fauna.

The national park is a natural reserve that’s subject to the regulations protecting it for posterity and for the conservation of its flora and fauna. There are two protected areas in Nayarit: Las Marietas National Park in Bahía de Banderas and Isla Isabel National Park in Santiago Ixcuintla. The spring at La Tovara in San Blas is currently in the process of being declared a protected area as well.

The Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) and the Bahía de Banderas Hotel and Motel Association (AHMBB) are hard at work to promote the destination with the support of the Government of the State of Nayarit via its Tourism Promotional Trust (Fiprotur). The cultural tourism product offer is an invaluable asset for these promotional efforts.
