  • Mexico’s Pacific Treasure reinforced its presence in one of the most important markets of the region.

The Riviera Nayarit undertook a promotional tour along the West Coast of the United States that included five of the top cities in order to attract more tourists now that the Winter Season is upon us.
These actions are part of a promotional tourism campaign by both the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Office (CVB) and the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust (Fidetur) to reinforce their presence in one of the top natural markets for both destinations.

From November 7th through the 15th of the current year, representatives of the promotions offices lead five training seminars for travel agents, three of them in the cities of Sacramento, Concord and San Jose, California, respectively. The fourth took place in Seattle, Washington, and the fifth was held in Portland, Oregon.

To complement these activities they also visited the call centers for wholesaler Classic Vacations in San Jose, California, as well as the one for Coscto Travel near Seattle, Washington, where they offered a seminar for agents affiliated with wholesalers including Mexico Unlimited, Pleasant Holidays, The Mark Travel Corporation, Apple Vacations and All About Tours. These two visits covered a total of over 120 reservations executives, who received information on the tourism offer in both destinations.
A total of 250 travel agents received training; with the participation of 20 hotels from the Riviera Nayarit and Puerto Vallarta, as well as five wholesalers and airlines Aeroméxico, Alaska Airlines, and Volaris.

The Facts:
The West Coast of the United States continues to be the top destination of origin towards the region, with the state of California at number 1, with 33% of the total of visitors and a relevant economic potential, which is why the flow of tourists to the region is guaranteed.

The Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) and the Bahia de Banderas Hotel and Motel Association reaffirm their commitment to continuing their intense efforts aimed at attracting more and better quality tourism to Mexico’s Pacific Treasure, with the support of the Government of the State of Nayarit via the Tourism Promotion Trust.
