- This weekend attendees will enjoy 40 group and 45 individual presentations by the 550 cheerleaders from eight states from around the country.
The VII edition of the APEN All Star Mexico National Championship titled “The Best Experience” will be held from March 24-26, 2017 in Nuevo Vallarta, organized by the Nayarit State Cheerleading Association (APEN, by its acronym in Spanish) with the full support of the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB).
The competition is endorsed by the prestigious international Varsity firm; the two winning teams will have the opportunity to participate in the National Cheerleading Organization’s National Championship held by the Mexican Federation of Trainers and Cheerleaders, the top competition of its kind in the country.
“We’re very thankful for the support we’ve received from the Riviera Nayarit CVB,” said Armando Cárdenas, President of APEN. “The idea is to continue our joint collaboration to promote this discipline and continue hosting it in this destination for many years to come. The participants are very happy to compete in this paradise.”
The 45 individual acrobatic and dance performances will take place on Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Afterward there will be a welcome cocktail. On Saturday the group acrobatic and dance performances begin at 5 p.m. through 8 p.m.; the final awards ceremony will begin right after, followed by a closing event.

General admission tickets will have a recovery cost of $150 pesos, and are valid for both competition days. Sunday will be a down day for visitors to fully enjoy their stay in Mexico’s Pacific Treasure.
The eight participating teams hail from the states of Nayarit, Sinaloa, Colima, Jalisco, Guanajuato, Durango, Nuevo León and San Luis Potosí. There will be over 550 competitors.
