Joint Promotional Campaign Holds Seminars In Utah And Colorado
- Over 150 travel agents received training and updates in Salt Lake City, Denver and Colorado Springs.
The Joint Promotional Campaign being worked by the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau alongside the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust made stops in Utah and Colorado last week to promote the destinations in advance of the 2016-2017 Winter Season.
The promotional teams of both offices visited Salt Lake City, Utah, as well as Denver and Colorado Springs in Colorado together with 20 regional hotels.
They organized three seminars for travel agencies in order to update them on the latest tourism news from the Riviera Nayarit and Puerto Vallarta. There were a total of 150 travel agents present, as well as representatives from five of the top tour operators in the United States.
Each of the seminars followed the traditional trade show format, where the hotels and the wholesalers provided information to the agents, followed by presentations by the destinations. To help incentivize agents, they ended with a raffle for visits to both resort areas, including flights and accommodations.
Patricia Herrera, executive director of the regional office of the Mexico Tourism Board, was also present lending the support of the federal government to the endeavors.
Salt Lake City and Denver are considered important cities of origin for tourism to the region, as they both offer year round direct flights.
