Mexico’s Pacific: The Coast Celebs Crave!

For many years, international renowned celebrities have flocked to the idyllic Puerto Vallarta – Riviera Nayarit, two neighbouring regions situated along Mexico’s Pacific Coast. With an array of distinctive attractions, world-class accommodation and endless sunshine, it is no wonder A-listers venture here year upon year.
The beauty of the destination has been admired by famous faces since the 1960s, when multi-talented movie star, Elizabeth Taylor and heart – throb Richard Burton, fell in love with the West Coast during their filming of ‘Night of the Iguana’. The iconic couple’s affection for the destination grew, leading them to invest in their own property ’Casa Kimberly’, now a boutique hotel shouldering downtown Vallarta.
This summer, the destination has welcomed the arrival of numerous celebs, including KimmyK herself. The curvy star showed off an array of eighties-style swim suits, at American entrepreneur, Joe Francis’ luxurious resort of ‘Casa Aramara’ last week, with her toddler North and baby Saint; along with bikini-clad friends. This isn’t the first time Kim has visited the destination as she spent her second honeymoon at Aramara, with loving husband Kanye.
American favourites, Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria, talented Rapper/Producer Lil Jon and pop princess; Selena Gomez also visited this season, ‘tweeting’ their Mexican experiences for loyal fans to see. American Actress/Singer Bella Thorne and boyfriend Gregg Sulkin, chose to holiday there this year, spending Valentine’s day soaking up the rays, indulging in private dinners and enjoying massages from their private cabana bed.
The year-round sunshine and array of adrenaline-fuelled activities makes it the perfect place for family holidays too. Eldest Kardashian Kourtney certainly agreed, as she enjoyed a vacation in Riviera Nayarit, with then boyfriend Scott Disick, and children. Brazilian supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio, former face of Giorgio Armani and Ralph Lauren, also chose the destination for some family bonding time.
Not only does Puerto Vallarta – Riviera Nayarit attract the rich and famous for holidaying, many decide they want a permanent spot on the coast. Microsoft legend Bill Gates triggered a wave of investment in Nayarit after buying 48 acres of land at the unparalleled Four Seasons Resort, located in lavish Punta Mita. Since then, investment from upscale clients, particularly those in finance, tech and media industries have risen considerably.
It is fair to say, the destination attracts many international stars, due to its wide offering. Exotic landscapes, pristine white sandy beaches, state-of-the-art accommodation, dolphins, turtles, snorkeling, surfing and once in a lifetime experiences can be found here.
