- Nearly 100 travel agents and retailers participated in the Campinas and Sorocaba events; Tour Operator Viagens Master joined in to collaborate with both destinations.
The Riviera Nayarit-Puerto Vallarta Joint Promotional Campaign held
travel agent workshops in Brazil in mid-November. Agents commented the arrival
of these destinations undoubtedly revitalized the tourism offering they are
able to offer Brazilians.
Tour Operator Viagens Master joined the pool of wholesalers in Brazil
and has already generated an excellent product to sell the region. This is the
best-known tour operator in Brazil.
The event in Campinas was held for 49 travel agents and retailers, while
there were 38 attendees in Sorocaba. At the end of the workshops the agents had
new sales tools and questions were answered.
Campinas and Sorocaba are located in the interior of Sao Paulo and were
strategically picked by the Joint Promotions team due to the excellent airlift
available via Mexico City.
All the attendees were very interested in the destinations and were
impressed and charmed by the natural beauty, the beaches, hotels and lifestyle of
the Riviera Nayarit and Puerto Vallarta.
“We’re the perfect destination for Brazilians who already know Cancun
and Punta Cana, the ones in search of alternative beautiful spots with great
beaches,” said Marc Murphy, Managing Director of the Riviera Nayarit Convention
and Visitors Bureau. “Besides, economically speaking this region is very
accessible for them to visit.”
The principal challenge with the Brazilian market is in getting the
information about the destinations to the final consumer, which is being done
with the help of the Public Relations, Marketing and Advertising departments.
