Argentine Agencies Anticipate Sending Clients To The Riviera Nayarit

  • According to the agents the quality of the beaches, the infrastructure available for every segment and in particular for Family Tourism, and the affordable rates during the region’s low season—which happens to coincide with Argentina’s winter vacation season—are all excellent sales tools, though they value the hospitality above all else.

The travel agent FAM trips are offered in order to supply professionals with the tools they need to sell the Destination. To that end, the latest group from Argentina to visit the region concluded they would definitely anticipate sending Argentine tourists to the Riviera Nayarit.

“The Riviera Nayarit is a very good product for our country,” commented Alejandra Pereyra during an interview with the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau. Pereyra is the head of the Operations Department for Buenos Aires’ wholesaler, American Executive, and has 22 years of experience in the industry.

Alejandra declared getting to know the Destination gave her the necessary tools to promote it. “I believe it’s viable. This FAM in particular was very helpful, as it helped to demystify the Destination. People may think one thing—for example, Argentines believe the Pacific has no good beaches—but truth is when you get to actually see it and experience its hospitality, you end up eliminating any preconceived notions about this Destination,” she added.

“The hospitality, the courtesy, and the immediate and personalized nature of the service is exceptional,” commented Pereyra. “They don’t wait for you to ask for what you need—they come to you first. I think Argentines love that: they love the pampering and they are very demanding tourists. I’m delighted and very happy to have found a Destination that was completely unexpected.”

Besides the excellent condition of the beaches and the ample variety of tours, she said she was pleasantly surprised by the availability for Family Tourism, since Argentines generally travel with two or three children. “Many of our clients ask us if it’s a good place for family travel and now we know that it’s indeed very accessible,” she said, adding the infrastructure was excellent for every type of tourism segment.

Of note was the fact that while July marks the low season in the region, it’s the start of the winter season and school holidays in Argentina. This combination adds up to very convenient rates and a very attractive climate for visitors.
