The Riviera Nayarit Beautifies Mexico’s Pavilion at FITUR

  • This is the sixth consecutive year that delegates from the Riviera Nayarit, headed by Raúl Rodrigo Pérez, Secretary of Tourism for the State of Nayarit, participate in Spain’s most important tourism fair.

The Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB), led by Raúl Rodrigo Pérez, Secretary of Tourism for the State of Nayarit, is attending Spain’s most important tourism fair for the sixth year in a row, to be held in Madrid January 22 – 26.

The International Tourism Fair (FITUR by its acronym in Spanish) will host the delegates from Nayarit, who will bring with them the traditional Ballet Mexcaltitlán and Don Modesto Rivera, the renowned Huichol artisan.

This is the 34th edition of this prestigious event, where tourism professionals from around the world come together under one roof. FITUR is by far the top event for inbound and outbound markets in Latin America.
Last year, FITUR welcomed some nine thousand exhibitors from 167 countries, with more than 100 thousand participants and a little less than 100 thousand general public attendees.

The Spanish media has been circulating a communiqué released by the public relations office of Grupo Albion on behalf of the Riviera Nayarit CVB detailing the participation of the destination in this international event. It has already been published in Europa Press, Diario Barcelona, Noticias de Málaga, among others.

Presence in Mexico’s Grand Event and in the 7th annual Exceltur Forum

Mexico’s Federal Office of Tourism and the Mexico Tourism Board invited the delegation from Nayarit to attend Mexico’s Grand Event the evening before the Fair begins.

Taking advantage of their tour to Spain, the delegation will also be present at the 7th annual Exceltur Forum; this year’s theme is: “Tourism: A Key Driver to Support the Country Brand.” Organized by the World Tourism Organization (WTO) in collaboration with FITUR and Turespaña, this forum includes the top tourism leaders in both the public and private sectors.
