May was an intense month for marketing in Riviera Nayarit

·         The Convention and Visitors Bureau contacted over 2,500 travel agents in the United States, Mexico and Canada
·         8,000 potential tourists were in direct contact with our destination through travel fairs and expos
In Riviera Nayarit luxury is our magic, and we were able to present our magic to 2,645 travel agents and approximately 8,000 potential visitors during the marketing activities organized by the Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) of our destination during the month of May alone.
“Between May and June we scheduled 24 marketing efforts, focusing primarily on travel agents in order to attract the largest number of tourists in the upcoming travel season. We worked with travel wholesalers and their agents, as they’re our sales point and the ones who can influence the travel decisions to our destination. Through some expos open to the public, we were in direct contact with the potential tourist”, explained the Managing Director of the CVB of Riviera Nayarit, Marc Murphy.
After getting a balance of the preliminary results of the work made in May, when half of the events scheduled for these two months have already taken place, the Director stated that the efforts will continue throughout June, and will encompass both the international and Mexican markets.
“We already had the events called ‘100 Agents Dijeron’ in Monterrey and Guadalajara, and they were successful, as working together with Puerto Vallarta we managed to reach the agents with an innovative strategy that has kept people talking. Now we’ll take them to Mexico City and throughout the West and Bajío regions. We’re definitely expecting to have a good summer”, stated Murphy.
The CVB of Riviera Nayarit, a non-profit association that works under the direction of the Association of Hotels and Motels of Bahía de Banderas to promote our destination is demonstrating with results that promoting tourism improves the economy of all the people in Nayarit, following the direction of the Governor for the People, Roberto Sandoval.
