Today was the first time I tried surfing. I left with a bruised ego, and told myself I'd never try it again.

After a few minutes of reflection- including enough time to get an incredible amount of water out of my ears, I've decided I probably will try it again, in part because I can't get Fernando's voice ('It was really funny to see you fall!') out of my head. I enjoy making people laugh, but not when my lack of athletic ability is the cause!

I told him I'd be back another time and I'd stay on my feet at least once. He just chuckled. I'm not sure he believes me. Based on today's performance, though, I don't know if I'd believe me either!

I do want to say a special thank you to Fernando and the other instructors and staff at the Palladium Vallarta Resort & Spa. They have been incredibly gracious and have gone above and beyond to make my stay awesome.
