- The Riviera Nayarit CVB and the AHMBB
participated in a road show through New York, Morristown, and Philadelphia as
part of their Joint Promotional activities with Puerto Vallarta’s Fidetur.
The Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) and the Bahía de Banderas Hotel and Motel Association (AHMBB) have intensified their promotional work on the East coast of the United States, with an eye on the upcoming Winter Season.
The team visited New York, New York; Morristown, New Jersey; and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, from August 21-23 with the traditional road show format as part of their Joint Promotional activities with Puerto Vallarta’s Tourism Trust (Fidetur).
They were joined by promoters from 14 hotels in the Riviera Nayarit and Puerto Vallarta, as well as wholesalers Apple Leisure Group, Classic Vacations, Flight Centre, GOGO Worldwide Vacations, Pleasant Holidays, Travel Impressions and American Airlines Vacations.
Carlos Eguiarte, representing the Riviera Nayarit CVB, shared that a dinner seminar and a trade show were held in each of the aforementioned cities, where they trained a total of 150 travel agents.
Of note is the fact the New York event included the presence of several Virtuoso agents from companies such as Valerie Wilson, Protravel, American Express, and Tzell, all of which have the Riviera Nayarit among their top luxury destinations, especially the areas of Punta Mita and Nuevo Vallarta. Virtuoso is a travel agency specializing in luxury tourism not only in the United States, their top market, but also in Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania.
Several Riviera Nayarit hotels were on hand to offer promotions at the tradeshows including Paradise Village, Occidental Nuevo Vallarta, Hard Rock Hotel, Riu, Villa del Palmar Flamingos, Villa La Estancia, W Punta de Mita, Palladium, and Iberostar Playa Mita.
The East coast of the United States is sending a growing number of visitors to the Riviera Nayarit. It’s important to point out there is also an increase in the number of flight connections thanks to national flights on Aeromexico and Interjet, and international flights aboard United; there are two direct flights from Newark, New Jersey, during the Winter season, as well as a charter flight from Philadelphia.
The Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) and the Bahía de Banderas Hotel and Motel Association (AHMBB) reaffirm their commitment to the strategic promotion of the destination, pursuing areas of opportunity and consolidating new markets to increase the number of incoming tourists, together with the support of the Government of the State of Nayarit via the Tourism Promotion Trust (Fiprotur).
