Open Invitation To The 19th Guayafest In The Heart Of The Riviera Nayarit

  • Over 300 Volkswagen vehicles—classic and modified—will converge on Rincón de Guayabitos for the great “bugfest” on April 21st and 22nd.

Rincón de Guayabitos, the Heart of the Riviera Nayarit, is preparing to welcome the 19th annual Guayafest on April 21st and 22nds. This “bugfest” par excellence is expecting over 300 Volkswagen vehicles from all over Mexico and the United States.

The event is organized by the TPC Bugs Club Tepic and every year attracts hundreds of families from different states around the country to indulge in their shared passion in one of the most traditional beach destinations in the region.

Over the course of those two days hundreds of classic and modified Volkswagen cars will be on display in Guayabitos, from the traditional “beetles” to Kombis, Brasilias, and Atlantics to Golfs, Jettas, and Buggies.

The 19th Guayafest 2018 has the backing of the Government of the State of Nayarit via the Tourism Promotion Trust and helps promote the region’s attractions while generating revenue that benefits the people of Nayarit, thanks to its great turnout.

In that regard, Dr. Alejandro Rafael Chávez Bustos, President of the Compostela Hotel Association, pointed out these types of events continue to work on the positioning of destinations within the municipality of Compostela.

The vehicles will be on display for public viewing on Saturday the 21st during the traditional parade through Rincón de Guayabitos, La Peñita de Jaltemba, and Los Ayala, as well as on Sunday the 22nd at the main plaza in Guayabitos, where there will also be music, beverages, and plenty of fun to be had.
