Nayarit Wixárika Commercial and Cultural Expo 2017 (Nov. 30 – Dec. 3)
The Magical Town of Sayulita invites everyone to the 2nd Nayarit Wixárika Commercial and Cultural Expo 2017 that will be held in the main plaza from November 30 – December 3, 2017. Over 30 artisan groups will participate in the Expo, showcasing their extraordinarily rich culture with demonstrative workshops for embroidery, beadwork, painting, gastronomy and more.

Our Lady of Guadalupe Patron Saint Feast (Dec. 1-12)
From December 1-12, Sayulita and its environs will be immersed in the passion its citizens feel for the Virgin of Guadalupe. The patron saint feasts in this micro-destination of the Riviera Nayarit are very popular and begin with the novena—nine days of pilgrimage from the different neighborhoods and areas to the small sanctuary consecrated to the Virgen Morena (Dark-Skinned Virgin), located in the main plaza.
Sabores y Delicias de Bahía de Banderas (Dec. 8)
Bucerías is preparing to host the tasty Sabores y Delicias de Bahía de Banderas gastronomic gathering, which is held in the town’s main plaza on December 8th. This event is organized by the Bahia de Banderas Rotary Club to benefit people with vision problems. Regional food and drink will be on sale; hours are from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Chili Cook Off & Taste of Nuevo Vallarta (9 de Dic.)
Marina Nuevo Vallarta’s boardwalk (malecón) will host the 5th Taste of Nuevo Vallarta and the 17th Chili Cook-off on December 9th, organized by the Vallarta Yacht Club. Same as every year there will be superb tasting plates offered by participating restaurants as well as extraordinary chili cooked by professionals and amateurs. This year, attendees will be able to buy tickets to the tasting for only $30 pesos and the net earnings will go directly to charity, divided equally between the Cleft Palate del Club de la Amistad International and Toys for Tots for the Naval League in Vallarta. Hours are from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Bahía de Banderas Anniversary (Dec. 11)
The municipality of Bahia de Banderas, the cradle of the Riviera Nayarit, is celebrating the 28th anniversary of its creation this year. The Nayarit State Congress approved the Decree on December 11, 1989, thus creating the county as jurisdiction 20 in the State of Nayarit. To celebrate the event there will be music shows, and civic and sporting events at the county seat, Valle de Banderas.
Riviera Nayarit Polo Cup in San Pancho (Dec. 15-17)
Experience the passionate Sport of Kings during the Riviera Nayarit Polo Cup from December 15-17 at La Patrona Polo & Equestrian Club in San Pancho during the 10th anniversary celebration of Mexico’s Pacific Treasure. The equestrian competition welcomes some of the top international players; there will also be art exhibits, music, fashion and culinary events.

Sayulita Pee Wee Surf League (Dec. 16)
It’s Sayulita’s to host this itinerant surf tournament that tours the coastal villages of Nayarit searching for the newest talent in this extreme sport. The league is represented by Ramos Shapes, Sunset Bungalows and Los Rudos SurfShop, following the competition formats established by the World Championship Tour Top 33 for the World Surf League (WSL), the ISA (International Surfing Association) and Surfing Association of the State of Nayarit (ASENAY, by its acronym in Spanish), with the support of local clubs.

Sinergiarte Festival (Dec. 27-29)
The 12th Sinergiarte San Pancho Collective Cultural Festival 2017 will occur between December 27-29 with the theme “Coexist for a Conscious and Collective Change.” The aim is for the multicultural content it presents to express the responsibility both humans and the community at large have during this very profound transformation that’s taking place in our times. There will be exhibitions and workshops for dance, theater, music, literature, performance, photography, video, multimedia, painting, sculpture, martial arts, sports and other disciplines.
