- Journalists from the San Diego Union Tribune visited some of the destination’s main capitals to take back to their readers in California the region’s latest and most attractive information.
The Public Relations desk of the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) put together a press trip with staff from the San Diego Union Tribune, all of who promptly fell in love with the destination.
Their trip took place during the Cuisine of the Sun event at Villa La Estancia, which they covered, enjoying the gastronomy and its Tatewari Spa. During the culinary festival they also had the opportunity to interview Chef Betty Vázquez, Culinary Ambassador for the Riviera Nayarit.
Their itinerary took them around several of the Riviera Nayarit’s capitals, including La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Bucerías, Sayulita Pueblo Mágico, Lo de Marcos, San Pancho, Higuera Blanca and Punta de Mita.
They experienced each location’s unique aspects, taking back home a treasure trove of material on each micro destination, which they’ll surely showcase back in California to entice their readers.
A stop at the Islas Marietas was a must, where the beauty of Mexico’s Pacific Treasure and its iconic natural landscapes left them speechless. They were also taken by the luxury of the service infrastructure, not only at the hotels but also at hotspots such as the La Patrona Polo Club.
California has always been the main market within the United States for this region, which is why this public relations effort is particularly relevant.
