New Convention Centers Position Riviera Nayarit As One Of Mexico’s Top Meetings Destinations



NEW CONVENTION CENTERS POSITION RIVIERA NAYARIT AS ONE OF MEXICO’S TOP MEETINGS DESTINATIONS

Two new major convention centers join over a dozen luxury hotels with large, full service meeting facilities and spectacular indoor and outdoor event spaces

Riviera Nayarit, Mexico – April 12, 2017 – Meeting, incentive, convention and wedding travel to Riviera Nayarit is growing rapidly each year.  Known for its high caliber resorts, beaches, restaurants, spas and sports facilities, Riviera Nayarit is proud to announce the opening of two new state-of-the-art convention centers.  The Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta Convention Center will open in April 2017 and the Bel Air Unique Resort & Convention Center Vallarta in Flamingos is scheduled to open in June 2017. 


Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta Convention Center will offer one large meeting space that can be divided into four rooms totaling 32,378 square feet with capacity for up to 2,400 people. Additional spaces next to the convention center includes a foyer with 14,320 square feet of space and four smaller meeting rooms that together provide an extra 3,818 square feet. The Vidanta Ballroom will offer 5,425 square feet of space that can also be converted into two separate areas. Three additional rooms next to the ballroom will allow for an added space of 2,228 square feet. Its Grand Mayan Playa also has a meeting room with 1,130 square feet of space available. Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta also provides five resort hotels with over 2,200 guest rooms; two golf courses, one designed by Jack Nicklaus and the other by Greg Norman; 20 world class restaurants and 18 bars/lounges; 27 pools, one mile beach and Aqua Park with a Lazy River; luxury spas and boutiques.  Nightlife options will expand with the inauguration of Cirque du Soleil at the resort in 2018.

Bel Air Unique, in the nearby Flamingos area, is inaugurating the Bel Air Convention Center in June 2017 which will host up to 3,600 people simultaneously in its 33,906 square feet of indoor and outdoor convention spaces, making it the largest in Riviera Nayarit. The Grand Salon Bucerias will be the largest ballroom with over 15,000 square feet, accommodating up to 1,600 people.  This ballroom can also be divided into up to six smaller rooms.  The Convention Center will also have a foyer with over 8,000 square feet of space for up to 860 people.  The two outdoor spaces are the Las Tortugas Garden with over 8,000 square feet of space for up to 860 guests and Playa de Chacala with 2,690 square feet of space for 280 attendees.  All spaces can be arranged in auditorium, classroom, banquet or reception formats. Bel Air Unique has also completed an extensive renovation and expansion of the resort, increasing the number of rooms from 215 to 419, adding five pools and expanding the number of restaurants from two to six.

  • Hard Rock Hotel in Nuevo Vallarta inaugurated its Sanctuary Convention Center in 2015. This multi-function space offers 12,900 square feet of space, which combines with the Nayarit ballroom (6,317 square feet) and other meeting facilities in the hotel to offer 20,000 square feet of meetings and event facilities as well as spectacular outdoor areas including an open air auditorium beside the sea.   • Marival Resort in Nuevo Vallarta offers 12,303 square feet of meeting space including a 7,589 square foot ballroom, 2,852 square foot foyer and 1,862 square foot patio.   • Paradise Village Beach Resort and Spa offers an ideal combination of top accommodations, excellent event space and access to recreational activities to augment a meeting or incentive. It has over 15,392 square feet of available space for events including the Grand Salon and the Salon del Sol. The Grand Ballroom can accommodate up to 1,100 guests or be divided into up to three smaller sections. Three additional meeting rooms accommodate up to 300 and the two outdoor spaces are each ideal for up to 500 guests. There are 693 suites, the superb El Tigre Golf Course, pools and luxury spa.
