The Riviera Nayarit is a tourism destination that always has options for
grown-ups and kids. For Children’s
Day, the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau recommends 10 hotels
with activities and programs to celebrate the little ones on their day.
Occidental Nuevo Vallarta
Both of its pools are family-friendly, in fact, one of them is reserved
exclusively for kids with all the safety features in place. There’s also a
fantastic Kids’ Club with a complete entertainment program for children ages 4
through 12, which is monitored by professionals.
Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit
For starters, its Kids’ Club is painted with handprints, beach pics, and
images of Pancho, the hotel’s monkey mascot, plus it has an area for videogames
and TVs. Another amenity is an open-air space for games and sports, including a
private stretch of beach reserved exclusively for sand castle building. They
can also keep busy making handicrafts, playing ball games or painting, feeding
fish, searching for hidden treasure and there’s even a mini discotheque! The Children’s
Spa has excellent services, such as the Easter Bunny Massage, the Tarzan and
Jane Massage, the Rain of Flowers Massage and the Snowflake Massage.
Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita
For kids ages 5 through 12 they have a supervised program called Kids
for All Seasons that includes a game room and an open-air play area. They can
also enjoy the pool and the lazy river. The program includes several excursions
designed to take full advantage of the surrounding nature. For adolescents ages
13 – 18 they offer options including kayaking, golf, hiking along nature
trails, video games and more. And everyone can participate in traditional
sports such as basketball and volleyball, among others.
The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort
The resort has designed special activities for kids such as how to make
traditional Mexican toys with recycled materials; bake cookies in fun shapes;
cupcake decorating and even pizza making. They also have the famous giant
Hamster Balls, where the kids can get inside and roll around and experience the
world from another angle. A favorite pastime is interacting with and getting to
know the local fauna. Ask about the Marietas Kids Camp: it’s out of this world.
Grupo
Vidanta
There’s plenty to do in their Kids’ Club, where they offer classes and
workshops for children ages 5-12. The Aquatic Sanctuary—proper for all ages—has
slides, fountains and creative areas. Its Slow River is perfect for relaxing
and appreciating nature. A favorite with the kids is the Wave Pool and the
Mayan Pyramid with a slide.
Iberostar Playa Mita
Everyone deserves a five-star all-inclusive vacation, especially the
little ones, which is why at Iberostar kids stay free. The have set up unique
children’s programs, aquatic parks and Kids’ Clubs filled with laughter and
games all day long.
Hard Rock Hotel Vallarta
Every little rock star deserves their very own stage and that’s just
what The Little Big Club™ offers. This annual program for kids is exclusive to
this hotel in Nuevo Vallarta. Angelina Ballerina™ and Bob the Builder
themselves are in charge of teaching the kids how to sing, dance and work as a
team via games, interactive education and some very fun activities. The venue
is open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Grand Palladium
This property, located in Punta de Mita, offers a series of spectacular
services just for kids. “Play at Palladium with the Raggs” is an entertainment
program that puts on weekly shows and activities. The look on the kids’ faces
when the Raggs come off stage to interact with them is priceless. As if that
weren’t enough, they have an area dedicated to each stage of childhood: the
Baby Club for tots ages 1-3; the Mini Club for kids 4-12; and the Junior Club
for teens ages 13-19.
Marival Hotels
These properties take all-inclusive to the next level with their program
Family Emotion®, which includes amenities such as the Marival Kids, a family
picnic and a special area dedicated to children, not to mention a series of
personalized services and surprises.
Paradise Village
Their kids program offers daily activities for children ages 4-11,
including cooking workshops, a piñata party, a show with macaws, face painting,
art, handicrafts and karaoke, plus video games. The fun continues in its two
spectacular pools in the shape of a lagoon with beautiful waterfalls,
underwater caves, Mayan temples and reptile-shaped slides. The littlest ones
have their own wading pool for splashing around.
