The Minneapolis Convention Center hosted the annual MLT University this year from September 25-27, which consisted of presentations, seminars and trade shows for the travel industry professionals and students.
Tour operator MLT Vacations, considered one of the United States’ leaders in the tourism industry, hosted this grand convention, which has a 20+-year history. The Riviera Nayarit and Puerto Vallarta have been regular participants in this encounter for the past several years.
“MLT University was a fantastic showcase, because it not only helped brand us as a destination, but the flow of information during the event will translate into tourists that will be here for the upcoming winter season,” said Marc Murphy, Managing Director of the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau.
The Joint Promotional Campaign held six seminars for 150 travel agents during the event, which also included the traditional Trade Show held after each day’s activities. The Riviera Nayarit was present with approximately 15 hotels.
The 2015 MLT University brought together more than 2,500 travel agents from the United States and Canada, who had the opportunity to interact with 250 tourism destinations, hotels and tour operators.
The trip also presented an opportunity to train agents from wholesaler and charter airline Sun Country at their facilities on Monday, September 28.
