- Approximately 900 national travel agents focused on the Riviera Nayarit during the 22nd IMACOP Tourism Meeting and the 8th “Ponte las Pilas” Conference hosted by Record Vacations.
The Riviera Nayarit’s reappearance as one of the most coveted tourism destinations by Mexican travelers motivated top tour operators to choose Mexico’s Pacific Treasure as the site of their annual conferences.
IMACOP and Record Vacations chose the end of May and the first days of June to hold annual conventions for their domestic travel agents in Nuevo Vallarta, thus preparing and incentivizing them to sell this region during the upcoming summer season.
22nd IMACOP Tourism Meeting
350 travel agents from Aguascalientes, Guanajuato, Jalisco, Michoacán, San Luis Potosí and Zacatecas attended the 22nd edition of this meeting. The Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau was at the convention and offered a presentation highlighting the Destination’s attractions; they also joined the trade show along with the participation of several hotels from this coastal region.
8th Record Vacations’ “Ponte las Pilas” Conference
Of the 8 “Ponte las Pilas” (“Get Smart”) conferences hosted by Record Vacations, six have been held in the Riviera Nayarit. The most recent event was attended by 550 agents from the Aguascalientes, Durango, Guanajuato, Jalisco, Nayarit, San Luis Potosí, Yucatán and Zacatecas.
