Our Destination has been known for the multiple recognitions awarded to our luxury hotels and restaurants, placing them at the top of the list in different categories. For example, the Riviera Nayarit is a Virtuoso destination, the travel industry’s leading luxury network. This organization has over 340 travel agencies with 8,900 elite consultants in 20 countries in the Americas, the Caribbean, Australia and New Zealand. In Mexico, the Riviera Nayarit is in second place on their roster with four Virtuoso properties along with Los Cabos. Quintana Roo tops the list with nine Virtuoso properties.
As for the AAA (American Automobile Association), the Riviera Nayarit also occupies second place on their roster with four AAA Diamond properties, behind Quintana Roo’s nine. AAA is another association with an impressive membership, nearly 54 million strong. The AAA awards are given to hotels and restaurants in the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.
The Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd., once known as The Luxury Hotels of Europe and Egypt, represents over 400 luxury hotels with more than 68 thousand rooms total. In Mexico there are five properties with this denomination in Quintana Roo and one each in Los Cabos, Mexico City and the Riviera Nayarit.
Of course, luxury is more than infrastructure and excellence in service—it is also experienced by the traveler through the different activities they enjoy in this unique destination, one that has never lost its identity, its essence and sense of place. This is Mexico’s Riviera Nayarit… and it’s simply magical.
