· The Convention and Visitors Bureau of the destination known as Mexico’s Pacific Treasure organized a tour for organizers of events and conventions
Riviera Nayarit is synonymous with luxurious conventions. This was the message sent to four important meeting planners who visited the destination known as Mexico’s Pacific treasure on September 9 – 12.
In a planned strategy in collaboration with Meetings Focus, a publication aimed at specialists who organize events and conventions, the Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) of Riviera Nayarit invited them to experience first hand the competitive advantages offered by this destination. Representatives of National Society of Minorities in Hospitality, The Association of Black Psychologists, The University of Oklahoma, and Medicine - 1123 Mount Sinai, were invited in an effort to attract their events to our destination.
The group visited the Hard Rock Hotel Vallarta Marival Resort & Suites, Marival Residences & World Spa, Paradise Village, El Tigre Golf & Country Club, Villa del Palmar Flamingos, Villa La Estancia and Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit, and toured Sayulita and San Pancho, where they enjoyed the local gastronomy and visited the polo grounds of La Patrona.
By supporting events and conventions in Riviera Nayarit the CVB generates an important promotional value because both of these attract the attention of opinion leaders in specific market segments, who then serve as “ambassadors” for our destination. Additionally, these groups generate direct room occupancy in hotels.
Strategies organized by the OVC like this one to attract meeting planners and conventions, directly contribute to attract more tourists to our destination, in order to reach the goal of improving the economy of all the people in Nayarit.
