In Riviera Nayarit luxury is our nature, and the new attractions of the destination known as Mexico’s Pacific Treasure were presented to approximately 600 travel agents in the United States through a joint strategy with Funjet Vacations.
On August 14 and 16, the Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) of Riviera Nayarit participated in the Trade Shows organized by Funjet Vacations for its commercial partners, in order to introduce the new vacation options for the upcoming winter season.
In Milwaukee, the CVB had its own designated area where it distributed marketing materials and established business relationships with the attending travel agents.
Funjet Vacations is a family-owned travel wholesaler that has been offering vacation products since 1974. It’s currently the largest independent tour operator in the United States, and specializes in offering flexible and personalized travel packages. It currently works with 19 international airlines and offers travel options to more than 2,600 properties in 900 destinations. Additionally, they have alliances with more than 47,000 travel agents and together with Mark Travel, employs over 1,500 people.
The Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) of Riviera Nayarit is validating its commitment with all the people of Nayarit by supporting promotional efforts like this one, which will eventually transform into social benefits for all the people of Nayarit, as they increase the number of tourists in our region and stimulate the economy of the entire state.
Additionally, the CVB offers an online training program (http://www.rivieranayarit.com/site/become_a_specialist) so that all the English-speaking travel agents can get certified. In the last two years, 1,119 travel agents have been certified online, and this program will soon be available in Spanish.
