·   Mexico’s Pacific Treasure will welcome approximately 600 fashion industry executives from 40 countries at the International Forum of the Apparel Industry, which will combine the 35th National Congress of the CANAIVE and the 27th World Convention of the International Apparel Federation (IAF)

There’s no doubt that Riviera Nayarit is in vogue. Our destination will host the International Forum of the Apparel Industry, under the slogan “The Transformation of the of Fashion Business”, which will bring together the 35th National Congress of the National Chamber of the Clothing Industry (CANAIVE) and the 27th World Convention of the International Apparel Federation (IAF).

About 600 executives related to the fashion industry will visit the destination known as Mexico’s Pacific Treasure between October 13 and 16 to discuss the new trends in the industry at the Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit.

The event will bring together leading entrepreneurs, both domestic and international decision makers, leaders in sectors such as fibers, textiles, leather and footwear, prestigious academics, opinion leaders, consultants and specialists in economic and market trends, which will make this forum the ideal place to generate business meetings.

The Convention and Visitors Bureau of Riviera Nayarit has put the events and conventions segment as a priority within the framework of promoting our destination, as it realizes that these contribute directly to selling hotel nights and in achieving the objectives defined by the State Government headed by Roberto Sandoval, in order to attract tourism to benefit the people of Nayarit.

Moreover, a successful convention will become a mouth-to-mouth marketing asset as attendees, who are usually opinion leaders, return home and share their experience in Riviera Nayarit, attracting new visitors.

Tourism is undoubtedly one of the instruments that generate the greatest social and economic development both in the communities that make this activity a priority. Out of 2,500 municipalities in Mexico, there are 70 that are fully identified with tourism, and in these places, the quality of life of its people is better when compared with other locations. Therefore, the OCV of Riviera Nayarit has joined the State Government’s efforts to attract more tourists in order to benefit all the people of Nayarit.
