Riviera Nayarit is being promoted in the Eastern United States


  • Riviera Nayarit visited ten leading travel agencies in Charlotte and participated in a seminar and trade show offered to key US Airways’ regional commercial partners
Riviera Nayarit is already working to attract tourists for the 2011-2012 winter season, and last July 19 and 20 it went to Charlotte, North Carolina, looking to attract tourism from the Eastern United States with the help of US Airways.

High-end international gastronomy, endless adventure to suit all tastes, striking natural scenery, the best fishing in the world and the largest touristic development in the country: Riviera Nayarit introduced this and much more to over 30 travel agents by visiting their offices, and then to over 50 agents during a seminar and trade show offered by US Airways to its main social partners in the region.

During this work trip, our destination offered 30-minute presentations on our destination to 10 of the most important travel agencies in the region, all of which were identified as major sources of tourists for Mexico in general, but who had little previous knowledge of Mexico’s Pacific Treasure.

The talks, which were attended by an average of three travel agents from each one of these agencies, also had the attendance of hotel representatives from Dreams Villamagna, Paradise Village and Vallarta Palace, who were there to showcase their products. Travel agents were greatly pleased by learning about our destination and the competitive advantages it offers, and said that they were more than ready to begin recommending Riviera Nayarit to their clients.

Together with its affiliated companies, US Airways Shuttle y US Airways Express, US Airways operates over 3,200 daily flights connecting 200 destinations worldwide. The airline is part of Star Alliance, so it’s capable of offering connection services to over 21,000 daily travelers in over 1,160 airports. In their strategy, Charlotte represents one of their most important hubs.

The seminar and trade show that took place last July 20 allowed us to introduce the competitive advantages of our destination to airline travel agents, which will increase the chances of attracting international tourists to Riviera Nayarit.

Dreams Villamagna, Marival Resort & Suites, Riu Jalisco, Riu Vallarta, Riu Palace Pacifico, Paradise Village and Vallarta Palace are some of the members of the Hotel and Motel Association of Bahia de Banderas that currently hold commercial agreements with US Airways.
This year, Riviera Nayarit has been recognized as one of the most romantic destinations in the world by publications like Reuters Life!, Travesías and Bodaclick,. Additionally, local resorts have been catalogued as the best in the world by renowned publications like Rob Report, National Geographic Traveler, Travel Weekly, Conde Nast Traveler and the TripAdvisor website, among many others.
